🌍 General

What is the Worldwide Kids Vibe Coding Hackathon (WoKiViCo)?

A four-hour, in-person creative coding event for children aged 9–13, run simultaneously by many local hosts around the globe on Friday 10 and/or Saturday 11 October 2025. Each local venue follows the same structure: idea → sketch → code with Lovable/ROSEBUD/other → mini-demo.

Is there an online option?

No. For this first edition, to propagate the joy of in-person collaboration we saw in our early attempt as well as to maximise safety and enable hands-on mentoring, participation is on-site only at an approved local venue.

🏫 Hosting

Who can become a host?

Any registered school, company, organisation, or institute with a verifiable registration number (e.g., Chamber of Commerce). Each venue needs two adult hosts and we recommend at least one mentor per three kids.

How do I apply?

Complete the online form at kidsaicoding.com/host-application. You’ll provide venue, contact and verification details, then attend a short onboarding call.

Can I run both days?

Yes. You may choose Friday, Saturday, or both. Kids only need to attend on the day you run.

👧 Participation

Do children sign up individually to kidsaicoding?

No. The local hosts sign up at the global level (see above). Hosts are then responsible for recruiting and registering children locally (max 20 kids recommended) as detailed in the hosting guide. Parents sign the consent and media-release forms provided in the Host Toolkit.

Do kids need to bring their own laptops?
